ARMLET Presented at the European Council

What a blast! Or maybe not so.

Last week, I was invited to present our work with the Ministry of State of Luxembourg on open and linked legislation at the European Council Working Party on e-Law in Brussels.

I had the chance, a good 10 years ago, to visit the French Senate, and this one is also really impressive. I am quite used now to speak in front of peers, partners, managers, but this time, it is a bit different because you have in front of you representatives from the 28 member states, some other people, and your presentation is simultaneously translated in a couple of languages, which is quite new to me and poses a couple of challenges, in terms of pace and flow of your speech.

This is quite unusual since we tend to tell a nice story, even slowly, but this story is constantly interrupted by the breaks you need to impose yourself in order to allow the translators to do their job. Quite an unusual experience, I must admit.

Anyway, we had a couple of questions, interesting ones, hope something useful and fruitful can come out of this :).

About Ptitnic
