The name’s T-38 … Triskell’s 38th

Not so many research team in France can be able to manage and end up with 38 successfully defended PhD Theses in its 12 years of life (about 3 new PhD per year). It’s quite a big deal and a great honor to be the Triskell’s 38th PhD. Congratulations to my fellows Hoa, Aymeric, Stephen, Tam and Clement who achieved their PhD a couple of days before me.

We were desiring to defend before the others. Unfortunately, because of the jury’s impossible agenda, I was the last one. I wanted to be the first PhD of my supervisor Benoit Baudry, I will be the second (after Aymeric). In this cruel world, Only the first (or the last) are remembered. As a consequence, I’m, at least, very happy to be the Last PhD Student graduating with the Triskell’s stamp 🙂

One may think we were the “magnificent seven”, while we were only six to defend our PhD thesis this week in the Triskell Team. There is one last defense remaining with Emmanuelle who is still struggling with her thesis document. However, she will be the First “Diverse” team PhD and I am confident in the fact that she will achieve it soon.

@Emmanuelle: Be patient. Be strong. Do not hesitate to tell us whenever you want some help or some fun or just a break. We all know that writing this terrible thing can be tough, can be frustrating, can be disapointing, can seem that it’s not worth it. But it’s so much rewarding at the end that it’s worth fighting for a little bit more. We are waiting for you, because you really deserve it.
